The Legend-News
A Quick One
I apologize for the shortness of this edition. Mom's up here visiting from St. Pete, so I'm being a good son. But that doesn't mean that nothing happened in the World of C.W.

Still Lost In The Maze
Lost Lake is still lost. I've looked in two more atlases, and I still can't find one that locates it.
In the 'Not So Lost Department', check out the Road Map Collectors of America. After seeing this site, you'll kick yourself for throwing out all of those 'old' maps that Dad kept in the glove compartement.
- David Peterson says that C.W. McCall is his favorite singer. David will obviously grow up to be a fine young man.
Song A’ Th’ Week
The dog days of summer are upon us, if you haven't noticed. That's approximately from 20 days before to 20 days after the conjunction of the Sun and Sirius, the dog star, from July 3 to August 11. Heat, humidity, and generally bothersome weather prevails, which explains the last two weeks.
So, in honor (?) of these times, here's a dog story...
By the way, although there's a Seventh Avenue in Sloan, Iowa -- south-southeast of Sioux City -- there doesn't seem to be a Main Street.
Your Homework Assignment: on a map of Iowa, locate all of the cities and towns mentioned in this song. Draw lines between them to display a secret message.
