- Bolo knife

- Brillo

- Commando
- A wide tire designed for off-road driving. Tires with this name were manufactured by National Tire and Gates Tire. They have excellent traction when driving through cornfields. Four Wheel Drive

- A petroleum distribution company, and supplier to a filling station in Shelby County. Harold Sykes runs one of the filling stations. Classified

Sloan
In Correctionville, its main east-west running street sits astride a principal parallel (set by the Land Ordinance of 1785) and all north-south streets jog at this point. If you look at the map, you'll notice that 5th Street isn't very straight. — Greg Hembree

- The Continental Divide. An imaginary line which travels through the central Rocky Mountains. Rivers to the west of the Divide drain towards the west, and the Pacific Ocean; those to the east drain toward the east, and the Atlantic Ocean. Old 30

- A restaurant in southwestern Iowa which was frequented by truckers. It was based on the White House Café in Audubon, Iowa. In the television commercials, a building in Pisgah, Iowa was used as the location for filming. "Rains' Old Home Café", the Pisgah location, is still in operation.
